David Bowie & Masayoshi Sukita: Heroes ‐ 40° anniversario

Castello Svevo, 9th June – 2nd July 2017 / 8:30 pm – 7:30 pm (ticket office closing hour: 7 pm)

Sukita’s archive contains the most important and iconic shots of Bowie. Their most significant meeting was in 1977 when the London artist returned to Tokyo with Iggy Pop and asked Sukita to do his portrait in an extended photo session: from this shoot came the image of the famous “HEROES” album cover, one of the most iconic images of his career. An intimate and private relationship is established between the two, thanks to a common feeling and a rich cultural exchange. From this relationship come some of the most surprising shots of “The Man Who Fell to Earth”. The exhibition will be open until July 2, 2017.
